"Currents" is part of my 4-part pieced project painting, "Nantucket." I grew up in rural Massachusetts, so this painting is a memory piece about being in Nantucket during warm summer days when the wind blew the salt air off the sea.  Tiny shingled cottages, climbing roses and endless stretches of beach and ocean were in my thoughts when I created this piece! It's one of my favorite paintings to date and recalls the joy we feel when we're in places we love.
