This piece reminds me of a favorite place from my childhood, Faye Park.  I grew up in rural Massachusetts, and Faye Park was a wooded park filled with swing sets and slides and surrounded by ancient oak and maple trees and even older colonial homes. We would play there all day as kids, and at twilight it took on this glow, this enchantment, that filled our souls with the magic of childhood. The painting captures that moment when the setting sun begins to illuminate the ancient oaks and maples and we would begin our bike rides home.
